Nokia N97, NSeries first with 3.5-inch touchscreen

With the N97, Nokia wants to restore the supremacy of the king NSeries multimedia phone. If the previous Nokia 5800 XpressMusic feels less prestigious and spelled out the "standard" in terms of features, the N97 has a specification that is guaranteed to make us open (and probably drooling too)

This is the first mobile phone with 32GB of internal memory (bigger than the netbooks that use SSD), and also the first with the concept of "Social location" which utilizes sensors A-GPS and electronic compass. This concept is claimed to be very useful for updating information on your status on social networks easily.

One thing that makes the N97 a very decent entertainment center is used as a touch screen 3.5 inch wide 16:9 format. Those who would like type-type, there is a sliding QWERTY keyboard (similar to Windows Mobile based phones). Of course, the virtual touch-input can also be used. For a button, using only three lines that really save space, but there seemed no separate number keys. This can be inconvenient or not be a problem at all. The screen itself can be regulated and a quick tilt angle similar to the HTC TyTN II.

For the battery, the N97 is claimed to be able to play music nonstop for 1.5 days. The camera, unfortunately, still a 5 megapixel with Carl Zeiss lens. Video can be recorded with 16:9 aspect ratio with a quality equivalent to DVD.

For the most important issues, the price estimated at around EUR 550 before taxes or subsidies. Our calculations for a moment. If 1 EURO = USD $ 15 thousand, it's worth about Rp 8.25 million before taxes. So the price outlook in Indonesia around USD 9 million. According to the plan, the N97 will be the day in mid-year 2009.
